The Museum will host Dr. Blake Hanson, PhD of The Jackson Laboratory for his presentation: The Human Microbiome: A New Frontier that Might Just Affect Everything. The presentation will take place in the Planetarium. Open discussion and social hour will follow.
Tickets for the event are on advanced sale for $8 online, or $5 for College students and Museum members. Tickets will be $10 on the day of the event. Limited seating is available.
The human microbiome is the collection of microorganisms-such as bacteria, archaea, and fungi-that live on and in the body. Dr. Hanson researches how these microbial communities play a role in both healthy and disease states. His research is cutting edge work in the field of microbial genomics.
In case of inclement weather, the discussion will be held on February 4th.
Tickets are non-refundable. If you purchase a student ticket, please be prepared to show your School ID at the door.
