. The presentation will take place in the Planetarium. Open discussion and social hour will follow.
Tickets for the event are on advanced sale for $8 online, or $5 for College students and Museum members. Tickets will be $10 on the day of the event. Limited seating is available.
Next-generation sequencing of DNA enables the rapid screening of thousands of genes to identify mutations in a patient's tumor that may be targeted by drugs; a first step towards personalizing cancer treatment. This lecture will focus on the progress of precision medicine in oncology and the impact on patients and oncologists.
