“Wings and Things” Migration Day Event on

Saturday, September 15th 2018

At the height of the fall migration join us at the Roaring Brook Nature Center for a day of hikes, presentations, and activities for the whole family.

At this time of the year there is no telling what may fly by including migrating birds, butterflies or dragonflies!

Stay for a short time or as long as you’d like!


Migration Day Schedule of Events:

10 am — 4 pm – Migration Day scavenger hunt, crafts and activities

10 am – 11 am - Live bird of prey presentation by A Place Called Hope, Killingworth, CT

11 am – 12 pm – Guided hike to the fields led by Jay Kaplan, director of the Nature Center (weather permitting) to look for fall migrants

Feel free to join us in the field for a picnic while searching for migrants

2pm – Eagle Presentation by Karen Nicoletti, Master Wildlife Conservationist


Cost: $7 per person or $20 for family of four

RBNC and Canton Land Conservation Trust members are FREE!
