Travel advisory:

There is a 14-day self-quarantine period for all persons arriving from specific states that are showing a new daily positive COVID test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or a state with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average. This list will be updated on a regular basis as the situation develops across the country. At this time, any visitor or member who has traveled to one of these locations will be prohibited from visiting the museum until they have self-quarantined for at least 14 days.

As of December 19, 2020, all U.S. states have been included on the travel advisory list. With the exception of Hawaii, New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

Given the interconnected nature of the region and mode of transport between the states, New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island are being exempted from the list of Affected States. That said, residents of Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island are urged to avoid unnecessary or non-essential travel between states at this time.

Please visit this website for information on the executive order and to see the current state list.

Here are some guidelines to provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience:

  • Please allow 10-15 minutes to check-in and enter the museum.
  • Per the State of Connecticut's executive order, staff and visitors (Adults and Children older than the age of 2) must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth to enter the Museum. We cannot allow any exceptions to this policy at this time, including medical exemptions. NO FACE SHIELDS UNLESS WORN IN COMBINATION WITH A MASK UNDERNEATH.
  • Additional hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout your tour of the museum. You are encouraged to use them frequently!
  • In order to make sure we can effectively monitor social distancing please maintain a one-way flow of traffic and maintain proper social distancing while visiting the museum.
  • Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the end of your selected visit time to have enough time to thoroughly tour the museum.
  • Want to know more? Read the FAQ for all of our policies and procedures.
