Join us every Tuesday and Thursday for a live butterfly release!

Butterfly releases are around noon. Weather and delivery permitting

• ASTC, ACM, and Library pass admission are only sold at check-in. Except in the most extreme cases, tickets will be available at the front desk for ALL paid, TCM, library, and reciprocal member attendees. Please call (860) 231-2824 if you have any questions about this procedure.
• Once you arrive you may stay as long as you like. No re-entry at this time.
• Face masks are highly encouraged indoors and outdoors for guests 2 and older.

MASK OPTIONAL POLICY: 

The Children’s Museum, The Children’s Museum Preschool, and Roaring Brook Nature Center have adopted a mask optional policy. The Children’s Museum group still strongly recommends and encourages all students, visitors, and employees to continue wearing masks to support the highest level of safety, even with this new policy in place.

• Our staff will continue to encourage and maintain ample distancing during programs and activities. 
• To maximize the safety and health of our employees, animal demonstrations and other hands-on activities that require close contact with our staff may be limited or reduced.
• The Children’s Museum reserves the right to reinstate masking requirements at any time if the level of positive COVID test results within our employees or student populations or the risk of exposure to COVID transmission poses a high risk to our employees, our visitors, and our continued business operations. 
• Additional hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout your tour of the museum. You are encouraged to use them frequently!
• Museum staff reserve the right to ask non-compliant visitors to leave the facility.

Pre-registration is not required for members, yet is highly encouraged. Please call (860) 231-2824 before you travel. We welcome our members to visit at any time while the museum is open to the public! However, we will not be able to accommodate public entry when the museum has scheduled a large group visit or is closed for special circumstances. Please call ahead.

Members can pre-register two weeks in advance online, at any time. Save your spot early!
